Les Lovell joins the Hall of Fame and now sits proudly alongside colleagues including Johnny Carlyle and Jack Dryburgh.
The 69-year-old played for five teams during his career, two of them out of Murrayfield.
Kirkcaldy-born Les started his glittering career in 1957 with Murrayfield Royals and played four seasons with the club.
He moved on to Brighton Tigers for another four seasons and then switched back to Edinburgh to join Murrayfield Racers for three seasons.
Then, his home town club, Fife Flyers, came into the picture and Les played out of the Rosslyn Street rink for the next nine seasons.
His final domestic assignment was player/coach for Aviemore Blackhawks for two seasons. He ended his career with the Highland team in 1979.
Among a string of accolades, Lovell was the top points scorer in the Northern Ice Hockey League in 1970-71. He was also Player of the Year during that season.
Lovell was also team coach to Murrayfield Raiders from 1979 to 1981.
The Scot also made his mark at international level. Indeed, he captained the team at the World Championships in 1976 in Poland and he was player/assistant coach in 1977.
Other appearances for the national side at the World Championship came in Sweden in 1963, Yugoslavia in 1966 and Holland in 1971.
